Efficiency Evaluation of Hospitals Sterilization by Biological and Chemical Methods

Autoclaving is one of the methods which sterilizes medical solidwaste. This study was carried out to evaluate efficiency autoclaves in two Shahrekord hospitals(Kashani and Hajar) Iran by biological chemical indicators. In this study, performance autoclave studied based on through setting 96 tests. Variables were loading type four groups (light, medium, semi- heavy, heavy), location, hospital , temperature-135°C, time10min features fixed pressure equal 4.2 bar. Biological indicators ATCC 7953 contained Stearotermophilus Geobacillus spores ,and indicator Class 6 with three color circle as weekly, respectively.The best operational condition both hospitals light rate Kashani Hajar 66%(8), 75%(9) desirable results, respectively. Each level 68% results more than with57% results. According (biological index) sterilization failure kashani 65%, 50%, respectively.There an increased need for suitable regulation control devices monitoring handling these developing countries.
